Return & Refund Policy for Ebooks

Thank you for choosing PressReader for your ebook purchases. We strive to provide you with the best digital reading experience. Please review our refund policy outlined below before making a purchase.

1. Refund Eligibility: Customers may request a refund for an ebook within 5 days of the original purchase date, provided no more than 15% of the ebook has been read (as determined by our progress tracking function).

2. Refund Process: To initiate a refund, please follow these steps:

  • Send an email to care@pressreader.com with the subject line "Refund Request - [Your Order Number]."
  • Include your order number, the title of the ebook, and the reason for the refund request in the body of the email.
  • Attach a screenshot of the ebook's first page to verify the reading progress.

3. Refund Approval: Upon receiving your refund request, our team will review the information provided. Refunds are subject to approval and will be processed within 15 business days if the request meets the eligibility criteria.

4. Refund Amount: If the refund is approved, the refund amount will be the original purchase price minus any applicable fees (if any) or discounts applied to the purchase.

5. Chargeback: PressReader reserves the right to charge a fee “chargeback fee” if a chargeback is placed with your credit card company (either intentionally or by mistake) for any deposit made to your account, without following the refund process outlined above. The chargeback fee will be comprised of the “administration fee” of USD50.00 (Fifty US dollars) to cover all further investigation expenses. This fee will be used to cover all investigative expenses to prove that the deposit was made by you upon receiving the chargeback from our merchant provider. The fee will be deducted from your account balance if available.

We further reserve the right to block your account and then a thorough investigation will be carried out on behalf of PressReader to determine the legitimacy of the chargeback. The blocked amount will only be released if the chargeback is found to be valid.
